Artist's Comments
Long time ago I saw the Gangster-movie Resevoir Dogs from mastermind Quentin Tarantino. I couldn't believe it: The dialogs were intelligent and ironic, the characters well written, the action always hot and the story was really thrilling and: It was the first movie I ever saw without a stupid HAPPY END.
That inspired me to draw and invent my own Gangstas. Since then a lot of my characters were wearing a fine suit and, of course, a cravat (like Noirus). The character you see over there is one of them. His name Yaku derrives from these Yakuza-movies. Stylistique his design is between the art from the German cartoonist Gerhard Seyfried and the Godfather of Manga, Osamu Tezuka. I was not sure about uploading him, 'cause I really love this character ... . Excuse my broken English. Feel free to answer! Any questions? |
